July 2026 in Feeds Fun

Hey everyone! This is a monthly recap of Feeds Fun.

  • We are working on a huge update that'll replace passing users' API keys to the service with obtaining and spending "news tokens"; that's why there were no releases in July.
  • 2.7M news entries were loaded, and 22 new users registered.

A few notes on the upcoming tokens system:

  • Self-hosted Feeds Fun will continue providing all features. It will be possible to turn off the tokens system completely or provide tokens to users manually.
  • feeds.fun will be gradually moving to purchase-based tokens. There will be a period of time when both API keys and tokens will be supported, but eventually API keys will be removed.
  • We'll provide more details on how the tokens system will work later.
